Pleasant Hill Baptist Church seeks to equip individuals to believe, live, and share the Gospel of Christ for the glory of God. We serve with one source of authority (Scripture), one manner of living (love), and one purpose for being (to minister the gift of the Gospel). As such, we are seeking a passionate and gifted individual to lead our worship ministry. 

The Worship Pastor will lead our congregation into the authentic, Christ-centered worship during our Sunday morning worship services. Since we view our call to serve our community a very serious matter, the Worship Pastor should be prepared to give his very best while challenging his team to do the same. His ministry will facilitate a habit of personal worship engagement inside and outside the Sunday morning service. The Worship Pastor will be part of the ministry team of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and as such will provide general pastoral service to the entire church family and community.

Expectations:

Lead all aspects of planning and performance of the Sunday morning worship service.

• Organize and lead weekly practices that lay the foundation for a compelling and quality worship experience.
• Assume pastoral care and discipleship of worship team and musicians
• Recruit, and develop the spiritual gifts of, instrumentalists and vocalists
• Lead the congregation in blended style worship incorporating music that speaks the heart language of a cross-generational church
• Arrange for appropriate leadership in his absence

Work with Senior Pastor and Discipleship Pastor to:

• coordinate visuals, signing, media, and branding
• promote regular worship experiences and special events
• ensure online presence reflects our commitment to quality

Connect with the greater church body by:

• Being engaged with the congregation (after services, at special events, and periodically throughout the week) to build relationships
• Being present at board meetings and business meetings (blessings conference)
